Club Supporters

This has been a big year for our organization.  We moved our Main Branch out of the old high school gym and into the new Casa Grande Recreation Center in May.  While our old home served us well for over 20 years, our new Club has allowed us to serve more members (we now serve over 650 Club Members every day) more effectively (we were included in every phase of the planning stages, so we were able to design our space in a way to maximize program effectiveness).  Every room in the new building is amazing, and the addition of the new Teen Center. This room is reserved for middle school and high school students, and they love having their own space.  As we prepared to move into the new building, we knew that we needed to remove two barriers – cost and transportation – that would hinder teens ability to attend our new program.  We're am happy to report that all Club programs are now completely free to all teens, and thanks to our partnerships with local schools, students from all Casa Grande middle schools and two Casa Grande high schools are now transported to the new Club.  By removing these barriers, our organization now serves approximately 175 teens every day at The Lounge (our Club for high school students in the Vista Grande Library) and the new Teen Center (an increase of over 100 compared to our 2018 teen average daily attendance).

Thank you all for your support and partnerships!

Club Parent Quote:

"It's such a convenient place for children to go to and is such a positive environment for them. The Boys and Girls Club provide great after school activities. The teen center in this Club is so amazing that my children love going here when they do go. There is a membership but compared to other clubs I find it very reasonable."

Club Story:

Each year during the week of Thanksgiving, we host a Pie & Milk event at all of our Clubs. This year, we served pumpkin pie and milk to over 650 Club Members (plus a few family members, volunteers and school employees). As I have said before, this is my favorite event of the year. It is a great opportunity for our board members, staff and volunteers to serve our members in a unique way, and a great reminder for our organization that we have much to be thankful for. Thank you for your continued support!
